Jim Shepherd reported that one lawyer who said SIG is considered as having one of the deepest pockets in the industry, but that can really only go so far--and how far does SIG want to take all this litigation?
You know that I've been a Sig fan boy for decades, and it wasn't all that long ago when the unit in New Hampshire was basically an importer of finished product from Sig Sauer, a German/Swiss maker of quality firearms. As the US entity slowly started producing their firearms in house, they began to grow the product line to include rifles, ammunition, and they achieved more market share. All was going well, and the organization was customer friendly until, IMO, they started getting these large government military contracts which expanded their product line to include optics, belt-fed machine guns, suppressors, etc. At this point, again IMO, they started acting arrogant, bulletproof (pun intended) and throwing their weight around. I think this is a reflection of their CEO, who is very aggressive. Just my 2 cents. Harvey |
