The M1911A1 featured a short trigger vs the long trigger on the M1911, the hammer spur was longer on the A1, there was a relief cut behind the trigger on the left side of the A1 frame to make it easier to eject the magazine, the front sight was thicker on the A1, and the mainspring was arched on the A1--what you referred to as a palm swell. Also, the stocks were just checkered plastic on the A1 as opposed to double diamond checkered walnut on the 1911. I believe you noted the rest. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Improved ejection port, larger tang to reduce hammer bite and a palm swell on the lower grip. Any other differences?
