For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: No, I didn’t get any negative feedback. In fact, one guy who was in the reserves said the training I’d given him saved his life. Apparently the Army doesn’t teach soldiers to reduce a bolt-over stoppage in the M4. He was in Iraq and a round bounced out of his magazine and got stuck above the bolt, jamming the charging handle. He said insurgents were maneuvering on him and if I hadn’t shown him how to retract the bolt and shake the round out, he would have been killed. |
