For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Jim, Ok..I'm looking at my "new" blued (Armi San Paulo) '58 Remington, and there's a marking on the frame that is two X's followed by what looks like a 9. So it looks like this: XX9 The "9" appears to be poorly stamped (probably double-stamped) and may not be part of the date code at all. What's your date reference say? Mike |
