For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You're welcome. The SEALs did use the M39 and M59 pistols as Hush Puppies, but they also used the .45acp P9S. The G3s had heavy recoil and were known to tear up cartridge cases on extraction/ejection. The buffer in the P9S evidently worked pretty well as the pistol is soft shooting. Can you imagine what the price of ther P9S would be today, based on the required machining and fitting of parts in that roller block action and the cocker/decocker? German engineering is never inexpensive, eh? Harvey |
