I had a new HKP9S, and it was an excellent gun!
I think it's lack of popularity had more to do with it's cost and unique design features that were so different from everything else in this country at the time. It came out before all the plastic popular pistols, and I think GunGeeks rejected it out of hand. HK was a pioneer, but they essentially broke new ground, and other makers like Glock ran with the untraditional, outpacing everyone. |

This was an interesting pistol that had a concealed hammer, yet could be carried cocked and locked or hammer down for first shot double action. Caliber was 9mm or .45ACP. |
