For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Well, my comment will show on that page when anyone accesses the picture so it probably isn't necessary. The ability to comment like that is a fairly recent improvement that Joe made. If you haven't noticed, clicking on a forum photo, either from the front page or the photo gallery, still takes you to the page with the full-sized photo and description, but now there is also a box to type in a comment. When you do, your comment not only shows up on that page permanently but it generates a forum message as well. (That forum message, automatically copied from the picture page by the software, is what started this thread.) It's a neat improvement, I think. Stu |
