S&W did do thst sort of thing.  We're all well aware of the long and cozy relationship they had with Lew Horton over the years, and who knows who else?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As I said, Herb's might have been refinished. Some of the M28s were nickel finish, so I'm guessing that some distributor ordered up a special run of high polish blues. Harvey
