I had a P88 as well, and in a fit of silliness I sold it. Beautiful pistol, and as you said, very accurate. The P5s were smaller in the grip as they had single stack magazines.The one thing they all had in common was that they were expensive.
I thought the P88C was a sad followup to its full size brother. While shortening the barrel by over an inch, they only reduced the grip frame length to hold one less round in the magazine. And they put the decocker on the slide instead of incorporating it with the slide stop on the frame (same as on the P5s). I don't recall if they reduced the "palm swell" in the backstrap to make the grip smaller, but I don't think so. Harvey/MO |
