From what I've seen, the EAA line is pretty impressive. There is nothing there that I don't like from the production company. One frame to rule them all, different style ADJUSTABLE triggers in some, and they are all STEEL and their basic models are REALLY REALLY inexpensive.
What I am really not liking though is the lack of aftermarket items available, primarily the holsters. I've checked most of the major manufacturers and haven't found many that do EAA (or even CZ) holsters. I can always go the custom route (which is where I'd probably go Mernickle they did my Nagant revolver holsters and the current holster for my Ruger Blackhawk) but for the new gun owner who just scored a deal on the EAA, to spend 100 bucks plus on a holster is a big disconcerting and disappointing. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Thanks a bunch, Allan. The SA trigger was the deal-maker for me. Out of, I believe, seven different "match" models in the line, only three have single-action triggers, this one and the two very top of the line race guns, which are so specialized for competition as to be less useful for anything else. You make a good point that the other guns moving up the line don't offer anything you need--and me neither. Adjustable yet low profile combat style sights, good ergonomics, a great SA trigger, and 17+1 of a hot nine...I am really going to think about carrying this. I'm gonna have to build my own holster though, as I can't get what I want commercially.... |
