I like the 2 3/4" length Ruger used on the Speed-six as well. Almost three inches. The slightly longer barrels carry better, and in the medium frame guns that usually end up being belt guns, they flop around less than the shorter barrels.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I confess I like the three inch snubbie better than the two inch models. Same here. One of my favorites was a 3" Smith M36. Shot a lot easier, IMO, than the shorter Smith M36 snubbie. I sold it to a woman who had become a parole officer. Her agency had recommended a 3" M65, and I thought that was ridiculous for someone with little shooting experience. She checked back with her agency and they said the M36 would be OK, but not ideal.
