Isn't there a form of bench rest type of competition where they don't care whether you hit the aiming point or not, they just measure the size of the group? That always seemed counterproductive to me and worthy of at least a small amount of ridicule... |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yep, I wasn't so concerned with bullet placement as I was with grouping. That particular load seemed to change point of impact due to temperature. I've since developed a load using one of the Hodgdon "Extreme" powders. It doesn't shoot quite as small groups, but the zero is good no matter the temperature. |
