That's cool in own right, I think.  I actually got turned on to this model because the Columbus, OH, PD issued them for perhaps 15 years and Jerry Webb got me interested in them.  I'm sure you remember Jerry from CompuServe.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm pretty sure that mine was a former police gun, possibly for the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Police Department. They used 645/4506 for quite some time, and mine is marked HPD. It also shows typical wear from having ridden in a duty holster for a LONG time.
