I still am not used to seeing police in white shirts like in Columbus, as just about everywhere I have lived the PDs wore blue shirts. Is there some kind of history/tradition to that?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: When I first came on the PD, we were still issued the long sleeved shirts, ties and a traditional Sam Brown tunic with clarino leather - they still use that for Class A uniform. I am grandfathered in so I can wear a comfortable uniform. Still wear white SS shirt in summer, and wear a black turtleneck in winter. |
