The shirt being white is tradition. It is Hard to keep those white shirts clean!
There are a lot of positives about tradition, but dirty white shirts aren't one of them! How long before you get to say "adios" to CPD? (You needn't tell me the hours and days, months will do just fine. Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yep, the uniform is traditional. White 8 point hat, cap device, Sam Brown in clarino leather, white shirts dark blue pants or breeches. I get away with doing what I want most of the time. But I am past retirement and the city wants to use me up before I leave the PD. So I wear a short sleeve shirt, no hat, and I am unsupervised. I work alone and that is how I have always worked. The shirt being white is tradition. It is Hard to keep those white shirts clean! |
