I think the reason I lean toward having a stainless gun engraved is simply because it's less expensive since no refinishing is required.  I'm actually thinking of having this done.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Nice work!  I especially liked the "In Progress" series of photos on his web site of the Colt SAA.  I think a nicely blued gun looks even better when engraved than does a stainless one. Stu
