Definitely not to me, but these days, a lot of guys are SBR'ing a lot of stuff, as well as getting suppressors for a lot of stuff. It's the "in" thing to do. Just before Christmas I was at the smoke shop and a guy here at the base on business was sitting across the table from me. We got to talking guns, and before too long he was showing me photos on his phone of a couple different long guns he had suppressors on. And he was probably around 50. It is simply the cool thing for gun guys to do these days. Not my bag, but pick up any gun mag and all they talk about is suppressor this and that, or SBR this and that, or turning this rifle caliber pistol into a legal carbine by paying the tax stamp and adding a legal buttstock. .22, centerfire, doesn't matter. What's $200 in the bigger picture when you consider the amount of money young guys in their working prime are spending accessorizing their already expensive guns these days? Can't look at from your perspective or mine. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: He's considering SBR'ing it at some point so he can remove the fake suppressor. Sounds interesting, but is a tax stamp on a replica .22 worth it? Harvey |
