Thanks, Elmer! I thought the best way was to have two pins but didn't see how to protect the one not in alignment. Holes between chambers? Of course - how dumb of me!
I can hardly imagine the work it took to not only design it for the short hand throw needed but to cut that 20-tooth ratchet accurately enough to time every chamber! Great work, Elmer! I guess that even donating a cartridge-firing revolver would get you in trouble with the Feds - hadn't considered that... Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: the inner ring and outer ring are off set. the top pin hits the outside ring and then the lower pin hit the lower primer. while the top pin goes into a hole between rims of outer when up primer is hit the lower goes into a hole between rims. yes I still have it because it is cartridge. will go when I do cutting the teeth in the rachet was a b.... I had to set the hand as close to the hammer pin as possible to cut down on hand throw |
