Thanks for the photo!  My 1909 doesn't have the "raised" portion.  The lever is flat.  It sure would be easier to use with the raised or "button" portion.  The only way to activate my release is to push it with the point of a FMJ bullet or the like.  Works fine, but cannot be activated with a finger.  Do you think there is something odd about my particular rifle?
