For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: (Never a problem bringing back older threads! )  I thought it might be but it looked so much like a hole in the photo I mistakenly assumed it was.  I have an original M1909 Mauser.   I just looked it over.  It has the lever in the trigger guard to release the floorplate.  Did you change the lever to a button?
