Hehe.
The Blackhawk Convertible here is chambered in .45 Colt and .45 ACP and is a joy to shoot with either cartridge. I've shot "monster loads" out of this revolver and while it can handle it, it's not that pleasant to shoot. Original load .45 Colts are much nicer and .45 ACP while a bit hotter, is also simply fun to shoot. Yeah, it does look a bit goofy with the adjustable sights. However, it shoots nicely. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I can't keep this in anymore. The incongruity of an Old west-style badge (joke title notwithstanding) next to a 1950s-style single-action weirds me out. I will never look at a single-action revolver sporting adjustable sights and think of it as "Old West," not even a Colt New Frontier--not even an original Colt Flat Top Target from the late 19th Century, as those were not Old West guns either, but made for the target shooters at places like Creedmore, NY, and Sea Girt, NJ.
