I've mentioned before I've had a Blackhawk and Super Single-six, so I'm not immune from their attractiveness, they just say "Old West" to me about as much as an M60 machinegun.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Hehe. The Blackhawk Convertible here is chambered in .45 Colt and .45 ACP and is a joy to shoot with either cartridge. I've shot "monster loads" out of this revolver and while it can handle it, it's not that pleasant to shoot. Original load .45 Colts are much nicer and .45 ACP while a bit hotter, is also simply fun to shoot. Yeah, it does look a bit goofy with the adjustable sights. However, it shoots nicely. |
