I've always considered the SA P220 an attempt by SIG-SAUER to have its cake and eat it too. But I've never shot one either so that observation may be hot air. I do think the P220 might be a better option for you because you have bigger hands than me. As a TDA the P220 was always just on the edge of being too large for me. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have a P220 and it's my only SIG Sauer. It too is in .45 ACP and it's fun to shoot. This truly is a classic design that has held up rather well. It also gives a nice TDA alternative (at least mine is TDA) to the 1911 if that is what one wants. They also have a Single Action Variant if I recall correctly. I have never fired one of these, but it is a nice system from what I hear. |
