"Deep blue anodized receiver"? This is the second time I've seen the slide referred to as the receiver, the first being in a James Lee Burke novel, The Neon Rain. So now I'm wondering; is this a legitimate usage? Can the slide of a semiauto pistol really be the "receiver" rather than the frame being that? Any opinions or (preferably) documentation?
