For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'll bring it out soon. I've never fired my Bulgarian Mak, either. Gotta shoot it against Eric's CZ82 and see how a single stack and a double stack compare. Eric doesn't remember shooting my older Maks--I'm sure he did but he was too young. (He shot a lot of guns as a young kid that he has no recollection of. ) I would have shot the Mak but I never cleaned it. It came as-new in the box coated with the typical eastbloc grease. Need to drop it into my cheap-but-effective Harbor Freight hydrosonic cleaner. Haven't used it since Eric bought a CZ52 pistol, another grease-covered job. The Llama stays in a BoreStore rug so all I have to do is pull the slide and relube the rails when I decide to take it out. |
