That's one reason I like my SA-only Tanfoglio Witness .38 Super.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: When Colt finally wised up and began setting up their .38 Supers to headspace on the case mouth like other pistols, the problem disappeared. Yep, it only took Colt from 1929 to 1985 to figure it out. That's one reason I liked the Sig P220 in .38 Super. Harvey
