The Ruger American is truly an American success story.  Incredibly accurate, dirt cheap--what a combination.  And chambered for the rounds Americans want today.  Even comes in popular colors! Even I'm tempted. But I keep telling myself I hate them.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I ended up getting a Ruger American chambered in 6.5 Grendel instead. It takes AR-15 magazines and was 300 bucks cheaper. I am  turning this into a Scout-esque rifle.  I have no plans to get a 6MM rifle anytime soon.
