That photo has got to be old.   Most M16s were replaced by M4s or were shortened to M4 length, and in the meantime the X95 Tavor is the primary issue infantry rifle today, not the M16.  At least that is my understanding.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: One thing that bugs me every time I see this photo is the loosely slung M16s. Is that really SOP in the IDF?
