Rare perhaps with those sights and no Norinco mark, TJ, but not rare back in the day before Chinese firearms were banned by a certain President. There were many imported and they were available at very low prices (a la the RIA pistols when they were first brought here). They were straight GI 1911A1s, but of great quality, and many gunsmiths preferred customizing them to US brands. Mike D. was a real fan back in the day. Image below from TJ Parmele - Image Title: photos Image Info: A rare bird here in the USA, a Norinco 1911. I got this off a friend and it has a nice blued finish. No Norinco markings just a marking of 1911A1 and .45 ACP with a Serial Number. About as clean a gun as exists. Larger image available! Click image to see it. |
