"Like that" or exactly that?
I admit to Partzheimers. Remembering the roll marks on a pistol from 20 years ago is really beyond my capabilities today. Also, Springfield has always used "1911-A1" rather than "1911A1." You're the Springfield maven, so I defer to your knowledge. Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: ME: Springfield never stamped their pistols "Model of THE 1911A1. YOU: Well my Springfield had something like that on the slide? "Like that" or exactly that? It didn't have "the" on the slide, you can bet on that. If Springfield EVER did that you'd know, it would be so weird it would be common knowlege. Also, I still own a Springfield from 1990 or so, and it certainly has no Chingrish on the slide--Springfields not being Chinese pistols of course.
