YOU: Well my Springfield had something like that on the slide? "Like that" or exactly that? It didn't have "the" on the slide, you can bet on that. If Springfield EVER did that you'd know, it would be so weird it would be common knowlege. Also, I still own a Springfield from 1990 or so, and it certainly has no Chingrish on the slide--Springfields not being Chinese pistols of course. Also, Springfield has always used "1911-A1" rather than "1911A1." |

I checked my records and sold it in 1999, so details are a bit hazy. The Norinco naval steel use came from several sources on the Internet, so it must be true! Harvey |
