This is just me, and you know I'm not the Python fan you and Allan, or even most people, are--but the 3" Python always seemed too short. That I-frame kinda oughta really be a four incher at least. OTOH I love 3" K-frames and even smaller framed revolvers. I mean unless DEEP concealment is the #1 priority. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Do you think you might sometimes carry the DS if it had a 3" tube? If your answer to yourself is a RESOUNDING yes, that's probably the only reason I'd suggest going through the hassle of rebarrelling. Nowhere near a resounding yes, but perhaps an occasional carry in a tackle box or in the car?I liked the 3" barrel on my Python, which seemed (to me) more shootable. Harvey |
