You mean he abused you?
Why of course not! I simply mean that he harangued me very politely, until I got tired of his incessant whining and sold him the gun... |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I agree with you about the later issue DS revolvers with the enclosed ejector rod. Takes away that "old timey" look, IMO. As for shooting mine, it's a lot like my old M37, and basically most small snubbies, but it resides in my desk for a specific and limited purpose. I had a Tyler-T on my M37, as well as an oversized Sile grip at one time, but not on the DS. It feels fine to me for its purpose. The Python feels completely different and much better to me than the DS did. I think the epitome of .38 Special carry revolvers for me would be a Colt Diamondback. One of those with a three-inch barrel (I don't recall ever seeing one) would be just right if I could buy one without refinancing my homestead... While I'm wishing, let's put a hard chrome finish on it accented by beautiful wooden grip panels and make it a barbecue gun! The Python used a larger frame, which was definitely more comfortable to me than the smaller D-Frame DS. I had Pythons in 3", 4" and 6", and just favored the 3" because it could be carried by me if so desired. Actually, I really liked the looks in that configuration. As for the Diamondback, it used the same frame size as the DS, both of which were based on the Police Positive. I don't know for sure, but I don't believe the Diamondback came with a 3" barrel. For sure, the DS was available with a 3" barrel. He treated me kind of like I treated you over the Hi-Power... You mean he abused you? Harvey |
