IIRC, I paid about $400 for mine. It was about a 90-95% finish when I got it, and had been fired very little. I don't think it ever was in a holster, and probably sat in a sock drawer for at least 35 years. I've seen comparable ones in the $600-$700 range, and some for even more. But like any older Colts, they seem to appreciate well.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I paid as little as $350 for one of mine and drove 2 hours one way to get it. The highest price I have paid is $550. I think it depends entirely on condition. I'd probably pay up to $700 for a decent condition one Say... 80% if it's what I am looking for. |
