The .45 AARP association is just a cute link to the age of the cartridge that fits close to the original cartridge designation of ACP. That's all I ever meant to it. Ironically, the most popular handgun cartridge, 9X19, is either 3 or 5 years older. I THINK it was adopted in 1902, but I have found references to 1900? Either way, the 9X19 was "Early Bird" Special qualified sooner than the .45 ACP. Of course, the 9MM met the .38 SPL there in line before him. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: That's ok. Just means I can tease you back about 1911s and your love of the .45AARP cartridge... I can be teased about almost anything and it's fun, it doesn't bother me, but you probably shouldn't be calling the .45AC the ".45AARP", especially around serious 2nd Amendment people. The AARP is the largest lobbying group in DC, the only one bigger than the NRA, and the AARP is 100% anti-gun. The AARP is not some benign retired people's and senior citizen's group, they have an agenda, and it is completely progressive. Put me in velcro sneakers, tell me I eat dinner at 4pm, tease me all you want along those lines, but really, no AARP jokes, please. The AARP is the enemy. It's like saying me saying you sleep with Diane Feinstein. That would give you the night terrors, wouldn't it? |
