That's fine. I mainly was suggesting I don't think you could replicate this on the cheap. While new 625s are expensive because all modern S&W revolvers are expensive, ALL older S&W 25s or 625s are quite expensive because they are quite collectible, so there is no way to do this on the cheap. Not even with a surplus military .45 revolver! | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It's difficult for me to analyze what it would cost to reproduce the essentials of this revolver by modifying a stock 625! I probably would limit my mods to chamfered cylinder openings, a trigger job and fine-tuning the timing; I don't need the fancy stocks or the underlug trim. To keep you happy, I would stick with a later 4" 625 as well. If that would put me over the street price of the PC version, then the PC makes more sense, especially for resale value... That doesn't mean I like it any better, though. Stu |
