Hi Mark,
While sanding a dried varnish will fill the pores, it is a lot harder than using the wet sanding procedure. Filling the pores with the wet sanding method will fill the pores faster and with a lot less work. The Pilkington finishing oil is linseed oil based and you can get that beautiful soft finish that you see on high custom stocks. Frank |
