Do you think the AR has an especially evil reputation even among "assault weapons"?
I think the AR is the progenitor of "the evil assault rifle" in the minds of the antis and the press. My point about Norinco was political -- other than the US under Trump, China gets a pass whenever possible because of the fear of losing them as a trade/economic partner by most countries.
