I think brightly colored firearms of all kinds are a stupid idea for that very reason. One could say they are dead ringers for inert dummy polymer guns used for training. I've thought this since Charter Arms, Kimber and other companies began turning out working color-of-the-day firearms. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What bothers me about this "Blue Star" model is the color treatment. My first thought was that it was a dummy receiver for training use, just like the cast replicas used to safely demonstrate handling techniques in off-the-range classes. Do you think that could lead to an accident or is it just my innate pessimism showing? ETA: I wish that Mike was still around to answer but this really is for everyone.
