If you have a true single action Nagant, the cylinder won't turn at all if you just pull on the trigger. You have to physically cock the hammer.
That's more like what I would expect... For the Double Action Nagant, when that trigger is pulled, the cylinder rotates, the hammer gets pulled back and the cylinder gets pushed forward as well. LOTS of stuff going on with that weird little Revolver. Weird is an understatement! So there are no little projections on the cylinder to pick at metal reeds when turning to play "Ochi Chernye"?
