Don Williams did produce his own BHP manual safeties, so it's quite possible that he used silver solder on it. I liked it because there was no issue with "finding it". The C&S safety is a good one -- IIRC, Mark has one on his HP.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Oops! By the way, did I mention that our BHP was back in the gunsmith's shop? The thumb safety's little operating ledge broke off making the safety practically impossible to operate. I ordered a replacement with the smallest ledge I could find from Cylinder & Slide. I watched a video on how to detail strip the pistol which led me to taking it back to the gunsmith. |
