Funny looking case and bullet, too! That bullet apparently hit the angled steel backstop (which put that angle on its nose) but then bounced straight back instead of angling down into the catch basin. We found it about halfway down range.
I'm surprised it fired at all. I don't recall if I checked this out but I'm not sure the cartridge was supported by anything but the extractor when the firing pin hit it. Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Funny looking cases, no? All of the 9mm brass that we found looked the same, like that. I forgot, I was present when another guy set off a 40 from his 45 1911. Case looked the same, didn't cycle the action and don't know where the round impacted. |
