Well, at least you still have it. One day you may clean it up.
Somewhere I've got an old Mora knife that my father gave me. I used it as a patch knife when muzzleloading for quite some time. Now I can't remember where I last put it... :-( It was similar to this one.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A steel? Who knew from a steel? I scraped that Boy Scout's knife blade across carborundum stones, field rocks and even a power grinder wheel. Like I said, a preteen boy's abuse!  It survived. I do occasionally get the urge to dig it out and clean it up, but so far I haven't given in.
