Decades of research into wound ballistics has convinced me that the .380 will not cut the mustard unless all your ducks line up in a row, the stars align, and everything else is just right--including your attacker being willing to stop the attack. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: No, sorry, you haven't. With the defensive loads I use I feel quite comfortable and safe. I consider any handgun a strictly close up and personal weapon and your carry gun should be one you can always carry in comfort and be easily concealable. My PPK/S fits the bill and I happen to believe that at 10 feet or so a 380 center mass hit will achieve the same results as any 9MM. |
