It's kind of hard to tell what we're looking at from a low side view, isn't it?
Definitely. But TJ's photo of that revolver just doesn't sit well with me, and I'd hate to see TJ not do some due diligence on it. I'm tempted to call that gun what my Italian friends would call it, a fugazi, from what I can see in the photo. It is possible that someone hogged out the original Python frame to leave that opening between frame and barrel rib for some reason (that I can't think of). Or it could be what some of us have suggested, a Python barrel, rib and under lug attached to some other Colt frame. There might even be another possibility. Harvey |
