Took your advice and entered the SN in the Colt Website: Colt LOVED to reuse serial numbers. Looks like that gun is one of three options. I'm erring on Alan's explanation of 357 Magnum frame coupled with the Colt Python Barrel. I think it's safe to say I am passing. Will let the owner know who is doing some more research as well. 1960 For Colt Trooper and 357 Magnum. 1962 for Colt Python. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: There are booklets with Colt serial numbers for collectors--would be cheaper than paying for a factory letter. Like I told Robert, you can just go to the Colt website and enter the serial number and they will give you the year and model. Harvey |
