Part of me is telling me I saw something like this pictured as a cheap cheap "copy" of a 1911 made by an enemy of ours during a war...Vietnam perhaps? Tunnel factory? Can't verify it, just strikes me that way. I believe Vietnam did make more advanced 1911 copies as well. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Definitely not a prototype for the 1911, as our late friend Darryl suggested. That one had the "look" of something made out of sheet metal and disposable to me. Of course the FP45 Liberator pistol was an even simpler firearm and was used during WWII. Harvey |
