This is a handsome pistol. Mike was really a good photographer, wasn't he?
Yes it was handsome, and yes Mike was a good photographer. When Magnum Research began selling those pistols, they were quite attractive IMO. They emulated some of the Desert Eagle's design qualities, but on a smaller scale. The newer versions have been redesigned, and I think they are less attractive. I had one of the earlier models in a "compact" form factor -- basically a shortened barrel on a full size frame: (my photography was certainly no match for Mike's.) They were all steel, and they felt like it! But it tended to mitigate the recoil of the .40. Compact Baby Eagle Click image to enlarge
