For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: This is a handsome pistol. Mike was really a good photographer, wasn't he? Yes it was handsome, and yes Mike was a good photographer. When Magnum Research began selling those pistols, they were quite attractive IMO. They emulated some of the Desert Eagle's design qualities, but on a smaller scale. The newer versions have been redesigned, and I think they are less attractive. I had one of the earlier models in a "compact" form factor -- basically a shortened barrel on a full size frame: (my photography was certainly no match for Mike's.) They were all steel, and they felt like it! But it tended to mitigate the recoil of the .40. Compact Baby Eagle  Harvey |
