For a period of time, I'm guessing the early 1900's, a fair number of people carried a 25ACP and thought they were well armed? I sold a bunch of them to Doctors when they were still making house calls, guess they wanted something to chase off anybody trying to steal their "Doctor Bag"? Must have been fun to reload 4.25mm rounds!
